Midwest Branding Solutions is moving to its first brick-and-mortar office on the Bricks in downtown Hays.
The business will be in the former Copy Center in Northwestern Office Suppliers building at 800 Main St.
Partners Stuart Schmidt and August Phlieger have been working from home offices and at BriefSpace. Schmidt has been in business since 2013.
In June, the business rebranded from Skyline Marketing.
Midwest Branding Solutions offers clients complete advertising and branding services, including strategy, design, web development, custom printing, graphic design services, signage, SEO, photography, video and promotional products.
Schmidt specializes in marketing, web design and advertising, and Phlieger specializes in photography and video production.
Both of the partners are Fort Hays State University graduates. Schmidt had a minor in graphic design and computer science, and Phlieger has an associate’s degree in media.
Schmidt said the partners’ use of modern design, efficiency and use of technology set them apart in the industry.
Schmidt said he wanted to make the move to a storefront so he could have more space for his equipment and a greater separation between home and work life.
Phlieger said the new location will allow him to have studio space for his photography and video work.
Schmidt said he hoped the storefront downtown will offer the business more visibility in the community.
“[It will] get our face in the crowd,” he said of the move downtown.
Phlieger said, “We really like the Bricks and what downtown Hays stands for too and the community involvement. We both love Hays, and we want to find ways to get involved, and we think being a part of the Bricks is a really big way of doing that.”
The business plans to make the transition to the new space by the first of the year. It will be open by appointment.
